(NCCD) Moderation Session
Date: Wednesday 27 May 2026 (Week 5, Term 2), from 9.00am - 12.00pm

CORE FOCI AND PRIORITIES FOR THE SESSION:
- Understanding moderation and key principles
- Reviewing the NCCD National Portal: Professional Learning and Resources
- NCCD Moderation Case Studies
- Planning for moderation in your school
- NCCD SWD Report (V5 BI Report), and
- Feedback from NCCD Post Enumeration Process.
AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS:
- Standard 1: Know the students and how they learn
- Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
- Standard 5: Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Standard 6: Engage in professional learning
- Standard 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.
INTENDED FOR:
Inclusive Education Leaders (Primary and Secondary) and School NCCD Team, and for school staff who may feel the need for a refresher session.
This is a face-to-face session with a Microsoft Teams option for regional schools.
Important note: The Facilitators will send a Microsoft Teams invitation to regional school participants prior to the day.
There are two sessions available on the same day, one from 9.00am-12.00pm and another from 1.00pm-4.00pm. Participants are only required to attend one of the sessions.
FACILITATORS:
System Coaches from the Diversity and Inclusion Team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Participants are asked to bring their own device for the session and to bring a case study using the case study template (provided by your school's System Coach: Diversity and Inclusion). Please bring five copies of the case study to share. The System Coaches from the Diversity and Inclusion team will also provide case studies.
