Community of Practice Session for Inclusive Education Leaders in the North Region

Catholic Education SA (CESA) Moderation Session
Wednesday 4 June 2025
(Week 5, Term 2)
from 1.00pm - 3.30pm
Venue: Holy Family Catholic School,
71 Shepherdson Road, Parafield Gardens
CORE FOCI AND PRIORITIES FOR THE SESSION:
- Understanding moderation and key principles
- Reviewing the NCCD National Portal: Professional Learning and Resources
- NCCD Moderation Case Studies
- Planning for moderation in your school
- NCCD SWD Report (V5 BI Report)
- Feedback from NCCD Post Enumeration Process, and
- Networking with the CILAH team.
AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS:
- Standard 1: Know the students and how they learn
- Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
- Standard 5: Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Standard 6: Engage in professional learning
- Standard 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.
INTENDED FOR:
Inclusive Education Leaders (Primary and Secondary) and School NCCD Team, and for school staff who may feel the need for a refresher session.
This is a face-to-face session and venue capacity is for 20 people.
FACILITATORS:
Andrea Richardson and Monique Lagana, System Coaches from the Diversity and Inclusion Team and CILAH Team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Participants are asked to bring their own device for the session and to bring a case study using the case study template (provided by your school's System Coach: Diversity and Inclusion). Please bring five copies of the case study to share.
- Consider the parking signs and time limits in the streets near the school.
- Participants are asked to report to the School Reception office on arrival.
