Introduction to Whole School Inclusive Practice

CORE FOCI AND PRIORITIES FOR THE NETWORK DAY:

• SWD Updates - Mandy Cescato, Manager: Learning Diversity and Wellbeing, Catholic Education SA
• Keynote Speaker: Loren Swancutt from School Inclusion - From Theory to Practice. A specialist in the field of inclusive education in Australia.
  Loren Swancutt will be a 'knowledgeable other' for Catholic Education SA from 2024-2025. 
• Hon. Emily Bourke MLC, Assistant Minister to the Premier and Assistant Minister for Autism
• Kathy Moar, Clinical Psychologist, will be launching a suite of online learning modules specifically created for Catholic Education SA. These free online learning modules will be made available to school and Catholic Education Office staff.  

AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS:

• Standard 1: Know the students and how they learn
• Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
• Standard 5: Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
• Standard 6: Engage in professional learning
• Standard 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.

INTENDED FOR:

Inclusive Education Coordinators (Primary and Secondary) , School Leaders, and Key Teachers.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own device to the session.
