INTENDED FOR:

Principals, school leaders and special education coordinators to support the implementation of the Disability Standards for Education 2005 and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data 2014 as part of the Australian Government Department of Education, More Support for Students with Disabilities Initiative

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The session will assist Principals and school leaders to unpack the Disability Standards for Education 2005

CORE FOCI AND PRIORITIES: 

• Provide resources and scenarios and practical activities to utilize with school staff

AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE:

• Standard 1: Know students and how they learn (1.2, 1.5, 1.6)
• Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning (3.7)
• Standard 6: Engage in professional learning (6.2)

DATE: Friday, 16 May, 2014 (date of Term 3 session to be advised)

TIME: 2.00pm- 4.00pm

LOCATION: Catholic Education Conference Centre Room 6, 116 George St Thebarton
