Professional Learning for Principals

The Australian Government has provided funding to implement the Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework in SA Catholic schools with a particular focus on building the skills and capacity of Principals in the area of feedback on teacher performance.

A one-day workshop for Principals entitled “Performance Conversations: A Solution-focused Coaching Approach” brings an innovative way to building solutions into performance conversations. Principals will develop skills in leading performance conversations and will also practise a real performance review situation. This workshop builds on the current series of Classroom Walkthroughs and Lesson Observation workshops, particularly Workshop 4 which will have a strong focus on provision of feedback on teacher performance that is developmental and affirming.

Please note that this workshop is a repeat of the one that was delivered in 2013. However as some Principals were not able to attend at that time it is being offered again in 2014.
