Join APRIMs and RECs at the
CESA RELIGIOUS LEADERS SYSTEM DAY
Celebrating the joy of the Gospel with each child
as we re-imagine childhood
Morning Program
We will be exploring Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation ‘The Joy of the Gospel’ and what it means for our shared leadership .The background context for this will be “re-imagining childhood”.
We are fortunate to have several guest speakers including Father Phillip Marshall VG who will share their reflections.
After morning tea there will be preview of the new CESA Prayer and Liturgy resource for schools. There will be an opportunity to have a hands on experience with several sections of the resource.
Afternoon Program (parallel sessions)
SRELA FOCUS: Who do you say I am?
Dr Paul Sharkey’s provocation “Who do you say I am?” will provide the focus for this session and will allow opportunities to reflect on how students in our secondary Catholic schools could engage with this question about Jesus.
Please consider reflecting on this provocation prior to the afternoon session.
PRIMA FOCUS: Crossways Companion Document: Resourcing the RE Learning Area
With so many resources available on line how do we choose appropriate material with contemporary Catholic theology? i.e. How do we decide what’s good?
PRIMA, SRELA and the CEO are funding this day for APRIMs, RECs and other religious leaders.
