NUMERACY ACROSS ALL
LEARNING AREAS NETWORK  

Catholic Education SA continues to provide professional learning in the form of the Numeracy across all Learning Areas Network for those interested or with leadership roles in numeracy.

Within the Australian Curriculum, Numeracy is a General Capability and hence all teachers need to be skilled at developing the numeracy opportunities that are inherent within all learning areas. For students to reach their numeracy potential, a whole school approach that is both supportive and strategic is needed. To help schools achieve these aims, the network provides:

• illustrations of a wide range of possible numeracy opportunities within the various learning areas
• discussion and exploration around effective numeracy teaching and learning strategies
• the opportunity to build capacity to lead professional learning related to numeracy
• a forum to discuss issues and share ideas related to numeracy 

The dates for 2014 for the Network are:

Term 1
Tuesday 25 March, 9.00 am - 12 noon

Term 2
Wednesday 25 June, 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm

Term 3
Wednesday 10 September, 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm 

All Network meetings will be held in the Conference Centre at 116 George Street, Thebarton.
