Engaging Students in RE in the Senior Years (9-12)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will aim to highlight the connections between Crossways, the Made in the Image of God Framework and the Australian Curriculum. The objective of the course will be to look at teaching strategies and stimuli to create engaging learning opportunities in the secondary years of schooling.

·        Outcomes and Key Ideas will be unpacked to explore teaching possibilities within the RE frameworks. Examples of units will be shown.

·        Time will be allocated toallow for collaboration and an opportunity to explore a chosen outcome or key idea as a result of the day.

·        The final part of the day will be for participants to explore what was learnt, to ask questions and to share ideas.
