Where do we find God in the songs we hear on the radio?
COURSE DESCRIPTION
While we may lament at the content and lyrics of many of the songs we hear today and wonder what message our students are getting, we need also to remember that our parents and grandparents probably felt the same.
· Amongst all the music we hear, there are many songs with beautiful lyrics and powerful messages. From One Direction's 'What Makes you Beautiful' to Katy Petty's 'Unconditionally', so many songs have a lot of good things to say.
· This course will explore some of those and how they might be incorporated into your RE class.
· Being Church in the world means finding points of congruence and working with them, finding ways to make connections between the Gospel message and popular culture that can be so influential.
