The Gospel in Animated Movies (Repeat)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course aims to explore the themes and messages in some of our most loved animated movies.

·        Have you every sat and watched movies with the kids and thought "What a great message!"? 'Happy Feet' & ecological conversion? 'Toy Story' and the treatment of friends and others? We've probably all used 'The Lion King' for the circle of life theme...in one sitting.

·        Have you ever put a DVD on at the end of the term as a 'reward' or 'filler'? No, me either! But, if you were tempted to, why not think a bit deeper and use some scenes to support your RE unit of work,...and then watch the whole thing to tie the scenes together?

·        Come prepared to share with others some of your own ideas, especially if you are a movie buff. We will have time to hear from each other too.
