SUPPORTING EARLY CAREER TEACHER RESILIENCE

This is the first of three workshops planned for Early Career Teacher Coordinators in 2014. For this workshop, Coordinators are asked to bring one Early Career Teacher from their school with them.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This interactive workshop will provide an introduction to and begin to unpack the findings of the Early Career Teacher Resilience research project recently undertaken as a collaborative venture by the University of South Australia, Murdoch University and Edith Cowan University.

  • The Domains supporting Early Career Teacher Resilience with a special focus on School Culture
  • Further enhancement of Mentoring programs at a school level

AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE

  • Standard 6 - Engage in professional learning (6.1, 6.2, 6.3)
  • Standard 7 - Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community (7.1, 7.2, 7.4)

INTENDED FOR:

Early Career Teacher Coordinators (accompanied by one Early Career Teacher from their school).
