EAL Assessment for Learning Using the Language and Literacy Levels - 2 Day Workshop

COURSE DESCRIPTION The Language and Literacy Levels across the Australian Curriculum: EALD students has been developed by DECD with support from CESA to update and align the SACSA Scope and Scales with Australian Curriculum subjects.
The Language and Literacy Levels is the tool used by EAL teachers to assess and plan for the language and literacy development of EAL students. They provide detailed information about students' written and oral language development which can be used for assessment and programming purposes for all students.

Location: Catholic Education Conference Centre 116 George Street, Thebarton A maximum of 15 participants for each workshop

Use of the Language and Literacy Levels to assess EAL student language proficiency is a requirement for the 2014 CESA EAL data collection process. Schools who intend to submit this data to CESA must have a least one trained staff member in their school.
