'Contemporary Approaches to Teaching Literacy' is a core component for the Catholic Education SA Certificate in Teaching Literacy.
To complete the certificate, teachers need to participate in this course.
This online 6 (or 9) point course explores fundamental issues in literacy by considering how theory meets practice in the classroom. The program is intended to provide participants with the basis for a more developed and informed consideration of various aspects of literacy in modern times. It encourages critical reflection and debate around questions such as:

Course structure: This online course requires teachers, over a ten week period, to post comments in response to online readings and video links.
