21st Century Learning Project - Primary and Secondary

Note session dates have been changed and the focus is for both Primary and Secondary Schools.

Over three days teachers will work together with others in a collaborative and supportive environment to understand:

·         The global research that proves the success of 21st Century Learning Design and how to create a compelling case for implementing it in your school

·         How 21st Century Learning Design links in with the Australian National Curriculum

·         The six skill-sets today’s students will need in the workplace and their future lives

·         The innovative rubrics for measuring use of these skills in classroom and project work.

A summary statement in relation to the applicant's justification and commitment to undertaking the course will be required to be submitted on registration. There will only be 20 successful applicants for this course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Teachers will also learn how to code and redesign their curriculum, to get started on implementing 21st Century Learning Design on their return to school. Participants will have the opportunity to share their successes and discuss overcoming any roadblocks they may have encountered at a final session.

AITSL AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE

Standard 2:       Know the content and how to teach it (2.6)

Standard 3:       Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning (3.4)

INTENDED FOR:
Classroom Teachers who are passionate in utilizing ICTs to improve student learning outcomes. Representatives of schools who are or are intending to implement iScholaris or Office 365 in 2014 are encouraged to apply.
