Session Details

 

This full-day introductory session is for those people who are beginning to understand social media in the context of a school community.

We will look at the types of social media tools that are available, how people use them and the  roles these tools could play within your school.  There will be plenty of time for questions as we uncover new ways of communicating and work through the use of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, infographics, blogging and podcasting. 

We will also look at social media strategy, maintenance of social media platforms and how to set up your own social media program.

Presenter  

David Rawlings, a communications professional with 20 years online experience, has been supporting Catholic schools for a number of years in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications teamand will soon publish his book '501 Great Social Media Ideas for Schools'.
