Session Details

This two-hour session will address the issues of social media from a principal’s viewpoint.  We will go beyond the usual rhetoric of social media and look at the four biggest challenges for school leadership: risk management, strategy, resourcing and privacy.

You will uncover the benefits to using social media both reactively and proactively.  We will also look at your external audiences and how you could use social media for better engagement with your local and wider community, including media.  This is a session to spark ideas and start you thinking about the benefits social media can generate for your school.

Presenter

David Rawlings, a communications professional with 20 years online experience, has been supporting Catholic schools for a number of years in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications teamand will soon publish his book '501 Great Social Media Ideas for Schools'.
