The Asia Priority - Enriching Teaching and Learning about Indonesia

To provide school leaders and teachers of languages and other learning areas with the opportunity to:

  • build capacity to implement the Australian Curriculum cross curriculum priority of Asia and Australia's engagement with Asia across learning areas, with a focus on Indonesia
  • benefit from the knowledge and experience of educators in CESA schools in the ways they have maximised the potential of study tours to increase intercultural understanding
  • learn about the opportunities for leaders and teachers to participate in upcoming study tours to strengthen Asia literacy
  • network with other CESA schools implementing Indonesian culture and language programs and the Asia priority

  • Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
  • Standard 6: Engage in professional learning
  • Standard 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community
