A Yarn with Uncle Bob Randall
featuring the award-winning documentary, ‘Kanyini’
Uncle Bob continues to write and teach throughout the world, presenting Aboriginal cultural-awareness programs based on the Kanyini principles of caring for the environment and each other with unconditional love and responsibility. Uncle Bob Randall is a living bridge between cultures and between world nations, creating lines of understanding so that Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples can live and learn together - so that we can heal the past through shared experience in the present. In her role as teacher-librarian at Golden Grove Primary School, Jan spent a year exploring and immersing students in the principles of Kanyini that underpin Aboriginal life.
An experienced curriculum writer, Jacquie Taylor has written Connectedness, a series of 9 lessons based on the Kanyini DVD, plus Nyuntu Ninti, a comprehensive unit of work based on Uncle Bob’s book of the same name.
Both educators have worked with Uncle Bob and we are delighted that they will also be attending this day to add their unique perspectives.
