CEO provided Professional Learning and the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

SUGGESTED RESPONSE TO ENQUIRIES FROM TEACHERS

Currently work is being undertaken to determine how all professional learning opportunities offered through the CEO are referenced to the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. This includes referencing the standard/s being addressed and the hours of training in a particular session.

At a system level we will also attend to how individual attendance is recorded and how records of attendance are kept.

In terms of Teacher Registration requirements, the onus is on the teacher to keep records of professional learning and how it is linked to the standards, and to be able to demonstrate this as requested.

If you would like more information in regards to a specific course, program or session please contact the consultant or presenter for advice on which standards are being referenced and the hours allocated.

All workshops will address the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:

Standard 6: Engage in professional learning

For the Principals one-day workshops the hours of learning = 8 hours.

For the two-day workshop the hours of learning = 24 hours.
