The Secondary Numeracy Network aims to provide middle and senior years teachers with:

•·      relevant and up to date information relating to the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, SACE and other contemporary initiatives

•·     engage in discussion and networking related to current developments

•·     build expertise in leading the implementation of new initiatives

The areas to be covered include:

•·     establishing and maintaining a Professional Learning Community (PLC) as an agent of change

•·     supporting students heading towards the C level, particularly at Year 10

•·     discussion on developing and fostering opportunities for students to show higher order thinking or deeper understandings of the content of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics

•·     using questioning to promote effective learning
