Term 3 Aboriginal Education Focus Teacher Network Day

Description:

The Term 3 Aboriginal Education Focus Teachers Network Day will provide an opportunity for Focus Teachers to come together.

The day will focus on:

• 9.00am-10.30am - Welcome and Tour of Ngani Pari-Arra Cultural Centre ('Being together near the river) with staff and Uncle Les Wanganeen.
• 10:30am – 12:30pm: Curriculum Presentation – Margie Tilbrook (Ngutu College) – Margie co-presented with Haydyn Bromley at our last Network Day in Prospect.
• 12:30pm 1:00pm: Lunch – catered by Corporate Platters (please advise about dietary requirements when registering), and
• 1:00pm – 3:00pm: Group Consultation: Catholic Education SA (CESA) Thriving People Events (timing and considerations for 2027) and ‘Setting up for Success’ – Community of Practice ‘EXPO’ for the Term 4 Focus Teachers Network Meeting.

• Standard 1: Know the students and how they learn (focus area 1.4)
• Standard 2: Know the content and how to teach it (focus area 2.4)
• Standard 6: Engage in professional learning (focus area 6.2)

Intended Audience: Aboriginal Education Focus Teachers

Facilitators:

• Staff from Ngani Pari-Arra Cultural Centre
• Margie Tilbrook from Ngutu College, and
• Geoff Aufderheide, Senior Education Advisor: Aboriginal Education, Catholic Education SA.

Additional Information: Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Please advise if you have any dietary requirements. Parking is available onsite.
