Term 2, 2026 Thriving People Event 
for Year 10-12 Aboriginal Students
in Catholic Schools in the Metropolitan Regions

'Thriving People - Setting up for life after school'

Day: Monday 1 June 2026

Venue: Tauondi College, 1 Lipson Street, Port Adelaide 

Time: The event will run from 10.00am-2.00pm 

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Year 10 to 12 Aboriginal Students in Catholic Schools will have the opportunity to network with other Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students from schools across metropolitan Adelaide at Tauondi College and share in some learning opportunities. 

Four x 40-minute workshops will be offered to support learning for the day:

1. 'Cultural Leadership after school' presented by Jade Brook and Auntie Elaine Magius from Third Camp.
2. 'Artwork Collaboration' with Chris Crebbin.
3. 'Headband Making' session facilitated by Cliffy Wlison from Kuma Kaaru, and 
4. An opportunity to engage with universities and post school providers such as: Charles Darwin University; TAFE SA; Maxima, Flinders University 'Deadly Outreach', Adelaide University, and more.

Catholic Education SA invites schools to express their interest in the Term 2, 2026 Thriving People Event by nominating their interest to attend the Thriving People Day. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Due to venue capacity, the event is capped to 120 students.
• Lunch will be provided to participants.
• Given the nature of the workshops being offered, students may like to wear their full sports uniform. This is at the discretion of the school.

Expressions of Interest close 4.30pm on Tuesday 12 May 2026.

REGISTRATION:

Registration for the Term 2, 2026 Thriving People event will be made available once the expression of interest period has been completed.
