Walking Together on Kaurna Country Session 2: Healing Through Connecting & Knowing the Stories of Kaurna Yarta
Tuesday 19 May 2026
Room 6, Catholic Education Office, 116 George St, Thebarton
10:00 am - 12:00 noon
The Walking Together on Kaurna Country program, delivered by Third Camp, provides an opportunity for educators to engage in professional learning that deepens understanding of Kaurna culture, history and connection to Country. As a Kaurna-owned organisation, Third Camp offers authentic cultural learning experiences that support educators to build cultural knowledge and confidence when engaging with Aboriginal perspectives in education settings.
This professional learning suite (4 Sessions) forms part of CESA’s engagement in the OECD initiative and aligns with the work being undertaken by Flying Start services. Participation will support the ongoing development of educator capability while strengthening CESA’s commitment to reconciliation and its Aboriginal Employment Strategy. As such, it is strongly suggested that each service sends at least one representative.
Morning tea will be provided at each session.
As a BONUS, each service that attends will be given a gift pack with a range of resources from the CESA Early Years Team!
Principals and leaders are asked to support educator participation and ensure that staff register. It is important to register for each session of this important learning opportunity.
In Session 2, participants will explore:
