FOCUS OF PROFESSIONAL NETWORK MEETING:
Bookabee Cultural Awareness Training creates a greater understanding between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal groups. It contains practical tips to assist organisations create a work friendly environment for Aboriginal people, assist all staff in approaching and contacting Aboriginal people, and promotes collaborative, culturally sensitive, and respectful workplace practices. The training aims to create a deeper understanding and works towards engaging Aboriginal people in the workplace and communities.
For Noting: Attending this course is a pre-requisite for attending the professional learning course in Term 2, 'Working with Aboriginal People, Families, and Communities'.
