We are delighted to invite you to a celebration of student agency and ecological leadership as part of Living Laudato Si — a bold system-wide initiative grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and co-designed with students.

About the Initiative

Living Laudato Si is a key project of Catholic Education South Australia’s Ecological Advisory Committee. It centres students as active partners in responding to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor, through values-driven, action-oriented learning.

Building on the success of last year’s Student Partnership for Improvement, this initiative has grown to reflect a deeper call — to live out Laudato Si through authentic student leadership and partnership with educators.

Using the EmpowerED Student Agency Toolkit and guided by their faith, student teams have created and led meaningful, practical projects that shape both their local communities and our shared future.

Event Details

  • Date: Tuesday 21 October
  • Time: 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM
  • Venue: The Pavilion, Prospect Oval
  • Format: “Ideas Marketplace” (expo-style showcase)

This celebration features a vibrant, science-fair-style event where students and their teacher mentors will present their Living Laudato Si projects. You’ll have the opportunity to engage directly with students, hear their stories, and offer valuable feedback that helps shape what comes next.

Why Attend?

Your presence recognises our young leaders as partners in Catholic mission and transformation. It affirms that their bold ideas and deep faith matter — and are helping to shape a more just and sustainable future for all.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating these remarkable students and their courageous witness to Laudato Si in action.

Please contact Alice Dunlop at alice.dunlop@cesa.catholic.edu.au if you have any queries about the event OR Angela Brown Angela.Brown@cesa.catholic.edu.au if you have any CESA Registration concerns.
