This is to inform Principals and teachers of the ongoing support that CESA is offering for those in leadership or key roles in the areas of mathematics, numeracy or curriculum.

The Secondary Numeracy Network aims to provide middle and senior teachers with:

• relevant and up to date information relating to the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, SACE and other contemporary initiatives such as AITSL
• engage in discussion and networking related to current developments in mathematics and numeracy
• build expertise in leading the implementation of new initiatives

The Secondary Numeracy Network for 2013 will be held from 9.00 am to 12 noon at the Catholic Education Office, 116 George Street, Thebarton on the following dates:

• •Term 1 – Thursday 7 March
• •Term 2 – Wednesday 29 May
• •Term 3 – Monday 19 August
• •Term 4 – Tuesday 5 November

The agenda for the Term 1 network will include:

• using data (including the SMART Tool) to inform learning design
• CESA performance indicators and task design
• discussion on reporting using the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics
• familiarisation of AITSL standards
