CESA invites expressions of interest from Catholic school teachers and educators who are considering undertaking the Graduate Certificate in Careers Education and Development with RMIT University in 2026/2027.

This postgraduate degree will be offered in intensive face-to-face mode in Adelaide by RMIT lecturers through a bespoke, accelerated professional career development for Catholic school educators model.
RMIT Graduate Certificate in Careers Education & Development: Accelerated CESA Program
To achieve the RMIT Graduate Certificate in Careers Education and Development, Catholic school educators undertaking the course will need to:
- Complete all 3 Units of the RMIT Graduate Certificate in Careers Education and Development subsidised by CESA, delivered face-to-face in Adelaide

- Unit HWSS2243 Block A: 2 days in October 2026
- Unit HWSS2242 Block B: 2 days in November 2026
- Unit HWSS2241 Block C: 2 days in February 2027
- Gain Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) for Unit HWSS2240: RPL
Professional Recognition and Membership
Successful completion of the RMIT Graduate Certificate in Careers Education and Development postgraduate degree, enables graduates to be eligible to seek professional registration with the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) and with CICA member organisations, such as the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA). Membership of CDAA includes Professional Indemnity Insurance, covering professionally qualified career practitioners and their school.
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) Towards HWSS2240
Upon successful completion of the Career Counselling, Coaching and Assessment Course delivered by Professor Jim Bright (CCCA course) and the agreed assessment tasks, students will be eligible for recognition of prior learning towards the RMIT course Practices in Career Design (HWSS2240). Educators who have not yet completed the CCCA course will have until 1 April 2027 to complete the CCCA course online (at own cost; reduced rate for Catholic school educators) and provide evidence for RPL directly to RMIT to meet qualification requirements.
