MENTORING

Activity Overview

This first session for 2013 aims to provide information and time, for both new and existing mentors, to reflect on what is currently being offered/proposed in schools to ensure that the best possible support is being provided to your ECTs.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Launch of Early Career Teachers: Stories of Resilience
• 2013 Planning
• What is Mentoring? (definitions, role statement); Article - Phases of First Year Teaching
• Providing Feedback to ECT's (use of AITSL Standards)
• CESA Online Resources

The sharing of good practice and opportunity for ongoing discussion will be built into our time together.
