Description
Teachers and Career Ambassadors in schools teaching the BECOME Career Education program in 2025 are invited to join Liv Pennie, CEO of BECOME Education, for this professional learning day.
This workshop will provide teachers with:
- an overview of the latest OECD research showing the impact of career education for students to deepen understanding of how career education positively influences student engagement, learning, agency and wellbeing;
- strategic insight regarding the emerging national understanding of the value of career education and where this work fits for Catholic schools;
- assistance in the use of school data collected pre and post delivery of the BECOME program;
- sharing of program success and ideas from Catholic schools in SA;
- innovative ideas to showcase the Student Agency Project;
- ways to engage parents in career conversations with their children, in parallel to career learning at school.
This workshop will follow immediately after the launch of the CESA Pathways and Transition Strategy Breakfast.
Catering will be provided. Please include your dietary requirements at the time of registration.
