In registering to participate in CESA STEM MAD, you acknowledge that your school will be providing one or more team entries for CESA STEM MAD 2025.
There are two CESA STEM MAD categories students may enter:
- Primary Years (Years 3-6)
- Secondary Years (Years 7-12)
Schools from Catholic Education South Australia are invited to participate in CESA STEM MAD 2025, promoting and celebrating STEM learning in Years 3 to 12. CESA STEM MAD is designed to acknowledge STEM learning initiatives that address real-world problems and demonstrate how students in Catholic schools take action that matters by designing a service, product or innovation to make a difference (MAD) to others or the environment.
Over Semester 1, schools are invited to support their students in identifying a real-world problem and finding potential solutions through the application of STEM knowledge and skills. Students will document their STEM investigations according to the CESA STEM MAD Project Criteria and create a video submission to be uploaded by Friday 1st August, Term 3 Week 2.

In Term 2, registered STEM MAD facilitators will receive an email giving access to a protected school folder, to upload the CESA STEM MAD video entries. Further information will be provided to support your facilitator and students in completing and uploading their films.
