ACTIVITY OVERVIEW

Facilitated by Garry Putland, Learning Solutions Manager, Pearson Australia, this activity is an extension on the  2011 and 2012 AGQTP series of workshops “Leading the Next Wave & Maintaining Momentum” .  It is anticipated that the majority of participants will have been involved in the previous year’s sessions and will be continuing in the final phase of this project. The program will be shaped around the needs of the participants.  A key component of this groups work will be an online collaborative research project. The 2013 workshops will continue to focus on leading future focused schools incorporating topics such as:

• making and sustaining the integration of digital technologies in schools
• identifying and harnessing the “right drivers” (Fullan, 2011) for sustainable whole school reform
• Creating social capital to build on collaborative culture within and across schools
• supporting and building capacity in human capital
• supporting innovators to influence, lead and make change

Topics may include

• Leadership and drivers for change
• Supporting and valuing innovation
• Emerging technologies and their potential impact in school education
• Data analytics for promoting learning (eg personalized, differentiated)
• Networked learning and connectivism
