Join Summer Howarth from The Eventful Learning Co and Melanie O’Leary from CESA in an interactive workshop to engage with EmpowerED, CESA’s Student Agency Digital Toolkit. Using the resources specifically developed to animate the Living Learning Leading Framework, you will explore tangible ways to work in partnership with learners to amplify student agency within your schooling context.
Summer Howarth champions teachers and positions students as partners in learning and is a key figure behind some of Australia’s most forward-thinking learning and innovation strategies for education systems, including positioning students as decision makers in their learning with The Northern Territory Learning Commission, supporting the formation of the NSW DOVES & NT Youth Voice Peak Group and National Student Voice Forum for the Commonwealth (Aus).
Summer, has been named three times on the annual Educator Hotlist, was a 2019 & 2021 finalist in the Melbourne Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards and holds a Global Paul Harris Fellowship for services to Girls’ Education. Summer continues to serve on non-profit Boards including the National Advisory Council for Be You (Beyond Blue).
