ABOUT THE EVENT:

Reception to Year 6 First Nations Students in Catholic Schools and their teachers are invited to this Thriving People Primary Event, which will be held on Tuesday 22 October.

The immersive event will be held at the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, Warriparinga Way, Bedford Park. A culturally significant location that is adjacent to Flinders University. This is a significant opportunity for First Nations students to build relationships, celebrate together and learn about their cultures and identities. Students and teachers will experience a range of activities that are designed to provide opportunities to learn new things and for students to connect with each other. On completion of the Thriving People event, students will return to school.

Students will be required to wear their sports uniform and are asked to bring their hat, sunscreen, a water bottle and snacks/recess. Please ensure students bring hats and sunscreen for outdoor activities. A BBQ Lunch will be provided. Dietary requirements for students to be included in the student consent form.

Teachers are asked to bring their school First Aid Kit, mobile phone, and to wear their school badges. Signed consent forms and an attendance list will be kept by teachers.

Schools will be responsible for their own transport arrangements and costs.
