Teaching for Impact In Mathematics series Years 7 & 8
The Teaching for Impact in Mathematics Series provides professional learning
support and resources to teachers and leaders to get the most from the OCHRE
resources. The Teaching for Impact in Mathematics Series uses an evidence-based
approach to support teachers and leaders to build more high-impact instruction
into their classrooms and schools, to accelerate learning for all students.
The Teaching for Impact in Mathematics Series will include:
A one-day workshop for teachers and leaders which will focus on:
- Use of a robust research and evidence base is used to provide concrete
techniques teacher can use immediately in their classroom
- Supporting teachers and school leaders to utilise high-impact instruction
Supporting teachers to maximise the impact of the OCHRE resources
- Teachers will be asked to film and submit 5-10 mins of footage of them
teaching, and then will receive instructional coaching from TeachWell
- An additional Leading Teaching for Impact in Mathematics workshop (Day 2 - held at the Catholic Education Office) for school leaders and teachers (optional)who will be implementing this at their schools are welcome to join in this session as well.
COACHING FILM CYCLE SUBMISSIONS FROM TEACHERS ONLY, WILL BE DUE BY THE END OF WEEK 8, TERM 4
Course costs will be met by CESA. TRT will not be provided.
1 day commitment and video submission required for Teachers.
