Assessment in SRM

Teachers of Stage 1 and 2 SACE Spiritualities, Religion and Meaning are invited to attend these workshops to help with building capacity and confidence when assessing in SRM.

The day will be presented in two parts and so participants should elect to attend one or both parts of the day, as best supports their school’s present needs in facilitating this subject.

Date: Tuesday 2 July 2024

Venue: Catholic Education Office, George Street, Thebarton

PART 1

9.15am - 12.45pm

What am I looking for?

This session is useful for those endeavouring to gain confidence in applying the SRM Performance Standards. In this session, we will take a closer look at the SRM Performance Standards and experience the power of professional conversations when locating evidence of them in student samples.

(Please note: participants require a fully charged laptop)

A light morning tea will be provided

PART 2

1.45pm - 4pm

How can I align my assessment design to the Performance Standards?

This session is useful for those wishing to develop or enhance their SRM assessments tasks. We will consider each assessment type (and their aligned assessment design criteria) to consider what could be “evidence of learning” when designing our own assessments. It could be beneficial to attend this session with a co-worker to enable collaboration on your school’s SRM assessment designs.

(Please note: participants should bring samples of current planning or future ideas for assessment pieces to develop on this day, and a fully charged laptop)

System Accredited Module approved for teachers attending the whole day. Further information to be provided on the day.
