Description
This professional learning workshop is designed for Primary and Secondary Languages teachers and is ideal for early career teachers or those new to CESA and using the performance standards.
Teachers will be supported to understanding how the new CESA performance standards have been constructed, while deepening their understanding of the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards.
Through this process, teachers will engage in practical activities to build understanding of standards-based assessment and high quality task design. Participants will build assessment tasks and contribute exemplars to the wider CESA Community through careful consideration of the revised 2024 performance standards and backwards task design principles. Teachers will have the opportunity to discuss and share assessment principles and pedagogical approaches with other languages educators.
This workshop is a repeat of the "Standards-based Assessment Task Design in 1-10 Languages" workshop, delivered in 2023.
