Description
VET Coordinators and Career Advisors new to their role, or new to Catholic Education, are invited to attend this Induction Seminar. The seminar will provide information relevant to Catholic school students, and explain the differences in VET between Catholic schools and other sectors.
The induction session includes information about VET and career development processes in Catholic schools, timings of events and important dates in the VET Coordinators and Career Advisors calendar, and resources available to support Career Advisors and VET Coordinators.
The induction session will provide a general overview of aspects central to these roles in schools:
- Career development
- VET courses
- VET Data record-keeping
- VET for Schools funding and eligibility
- Work experience
- School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships
- Industry engagement
This is an interactive workshop that will assist educators to navigate the processes, procedures and work relevant to their role. The information builds on previous workshops for all Career Development Practitioners and VET Coordinators, offering additional learning, support and the opportunity for Q & A. Please bring a device to the workshop.
