Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) and the South Australian Association for Teachers of Italian (SAATI) are pleased to welcome back Dr Gianfranco Conti, as he delivers a workshop titled 'Becoming an EPI teacher.' The workshop is recommended for those new to the 'Conti method' or starting to explore the work of Gianfranco Conti.
Topics will include:
- What is Extensive Processing Instruction? (EPI)
- Elements of EPI as a usage-based approach
- Principles of instructed Language Acquisition
- Curriculum design principles and strategies
- Modelling through listening and reading
- Structured production
- Fluency tasks
Practical activities, examples, techniques and strategies will be explored, that teachers can take back to the classroom to implement. Participation in this workshops may count towards EPI teacher accreditation.
This event is open to all Catholic Education SA Language teachers and SAATI members. Please use the password provided in your email to register.
