Press Pause ….
‘…. an invitation to have the courage to stop and embrace stillness’.
‘Find a moment of stillness, give your heart a chance to tell you where you really need to be’.
(Dodinsky: In the Garden of Thoughts)
Leaders Retreat
You are invited to spend 3 days on retreat to reflect, renew, and reconnect with your inner self and sense of purpose that gives meaning to your work and life in the world. One of the most difficult challenges we often face in the busyness of work and life, is having the courage to stop and seek some space to ‘allow our souls to catch up with our bodies’. To allow space to pause, and in the stillness, have a chance to listen to that small voice inside. It speaks truth about who we are as leaders, as family members, and friends. It’s the voice that honours what we’ve accomplished and yet calls us to be more.
In our desire to achieve and grow, we can become overwhelmed with ‘things to do’ and can tend to rush headlong, seeking quick fixes and immediate solutions. However, our soul thrives in stillness and can sometimes benefit in having a sacred space of quiet contemplation, a refuge where it feels safe to emerge.
The outline of the retreat will include some input, scripture, music, poetry and offer opportunities for identifying hopes, personal reflection time, sharing of experiences, discernment, creativity and imaginative prayer as a means to explore the personal implications of this challenge to ‘Press Pause’.
Each of the 3 days will be separate, with the same theme/focus being maintained for the duration of the retreat. Participants will be encouraged to ‘hold a prayerful focus’ between each of the retreat days.
