'Food for thought!' - Biblical Hospitality
Mark’s Gospel records an occasion when Jesus and his disciples were eating at the home of Levi the tax-collector. Looking on were some scribes of the Pharisees who criticised him for associating with tax-collectors and sinners. On hearing this Jesus stressed that his mission was to the sick and those on the fringes of society.
The gospels record a number of incidents that feature table- fellowship with Jesus. These stories and their implications will be explored during this work-shop – not just for Jesus’ contemporaries, but also for Christians today.
