Description
This Professional Learning workshop will provide an overview of the changes between v.8.4 and v.9 of the Australian Curriculum - Languages.
Teachers will be supported to authentically plan for teaching and learning through careful consideration of the Achievement Standards and Content Descriptions.
Teachers will explore the development of CESA Languages Performance Standards and construct task exemplars using these, and backwards task design principles.
Teachers will have the opportunity to discuss and share assessment principles and pedagogical approaches during the session.
Please note, this workshop is a combination of the following workshops that were held previously, and is designed for teachers who were unable to attend these workshops earlier in the year:
- Australian Curriculum v.9 R-10 Languages Familiarisation Workshop (Including Assessment Mapping) and
- Standards-based Assessment Task Design in Years 1-10 Languages.
