National School Wellbeing Program Network Day
Supporting and walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
For school staff appointed under the National School Wellbeing Program (NSWP)
We will spend the morning listening and deepening our understanding of the culture and traditions of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We will look at the importance of a RAP for all schools, cover some key points from the Uluru Statement of the Heart and look at the importance of connection to place, history and story for Indigenous Australians and how this affects the way we listen and engage.
During the afternoon, we will be discussing transition to high school and ways to support students on this journey and there will be time for networking and open discussion.
