VET Coordinators and Career Development Practitioners are invited to attend the first CESA / AISSA combined Professional Learning of 2023, with a focus on the Automotive industry in South Australia, School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. The day will be hosted by the MTA and will include:

• an overview of the current landscape of the Automotive industry in South Australia by Jason Polgreen, General manager and Non-Executive Director of the Motor Trade Association of SA/NT;
• the role of the MTA in the South Australian automotive industry;
• MTA Site tour;
• school based apprenticeships and traineeships in the automotive industry;
• how the MTA supports industry, apprentices & trainees and schools;
• airbag deployment systems;
• educational discussion about electric vehicles and complex systems;
• heavy vehicle and paintless dent demonstration;
• what successful apprenticeships look like;
• career diversity and career progression within the automotive industry;
• being job ready in the automotive industry and
• pit stop competition.

Morning Tea and Lunch will be catered by the MTA.
