Expression of Interest

In 2022, over 50 CESA teachers completed the ACER PAT Data Driven Decisions course, that was coordinated through the Catholic Education Office.

In 2023, CESA will again be providing sponsorship for the following staff, to complete this ACER accredited professional learning program:

• Leaders of Learning (or similar), and
• Staff participating in the Aspiring Leaders Program.

Professional learning will be held in either Term 2 or Term 3, 2023 based on applicant interest.

All resources and lessons will be available online, with most of the learning being completed in a self-paced format. ACER is currently exploring if week 1 can be completed in person. However, recordings will always be made available, and attendance is not mandatory.

Staff members who are not in a Leader of Learning, or similar position, may still participate in the professional learning, provided costs are covered by your school. Cost without sponsorship will be at a reduced rate of approximately $440. Schools are encouraged to send more than one staff member.

Proposed Program Structure

Intended Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

• analyse and critically evaluate a range of PAT data and reports;
• identify teaching strategies that differentiate learning for different students/groups, and
• use PAT data to target learning needs of different students and groups.

AITSL National Professional Standards for Teachers Include

Standard 5: Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning, particularly Professional Standard 5.4: Interpret student data.
