Highly Accomplished & Lead Teachers (HALT) More than 100 CESA teachers are currently engaged in the certification process. Teachers who consider they meet the criteria to be either a Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher, are invited to participate in the certification process after attending an initial HALT Certification information workshop. Professional learning support will be provided via two further compulsory workshops: · Annotating Evidence · Classroom Observation Across the three sessions, teachers will: · Explore all requirements for applying for certification as Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher · Explore the importance of writing clear, precise annotations that align evidence to each of the Teacher Professional Standards · Be provided opportunities to discuss the types of ongoing evidence that may be collected to evidence their application · Have access to a supportive network to assist with the application process for certification · Be able to structure applications, write annotations and analyse evidence sets with others to evaluate suitability Schools or regions with more than ten interested teachers may negotiate with Adrian Dilger for these workshops to be held onsite (or hosted by a school in the region). Adrian Dilger and Belinda Radcliffe are also committed to supporting regional and rural schools and regions by negotiation.
