GIRLS IN ENGINEERING STEM PROJECT
Catholic Education South Australia has partnered with the STEM Girls Academy from the University of South Australia (UniSA) to deliver a special program for girls in Years 7 and 8 who demonstrate an interest in STEM learning, to further explore engineering practices, principles and pathways.
Girls from Years 7 and 8 will have the opportunity to join a Creative Challenge in which they will solve real world problems proposed by industry partners BAE Systems, using Design Thinking Methodology. Together, they will explore a future problem and come up with solutions they think will have the most impact.
Schools are invited to select four Year 7 and/or 8 girls who have a passion for STEM learning and wish to explore STEM career pathways to participate in this program.
