EALD Assessment Collaborative Moderation - VOLUNTARY
Intended For:
Primary and secondary teachers who will be making assessment judgements about EALD learners' achievement and proficiency levels for the CESA EALD data collection.
Focus:
As part of the CESA EALD data collection the LEAP Levels are used to conduct the English language proficiency assessments and moderation is conducted to ensure that the LEAP Levels have been applied consistently to assessment of EALD learners' language and that individual assessment decisions are reliable.
An additional, voluntary assessment moderation session is being offered in Week 9 of Term 2, on Thursday 30th June.
Teachers will assess their own students' sets of evidence and have the opportunity to consult with colleagues to clarify and compare assessment judgements using the LEAP Levels.
This session is NOT mandatory but you will need to register to participate.
Please indicate if you will attend for the whole day (9:00 am - 3:30 pm) or half day (12:30 - 3:30 pm).
You will need to bring:
· your willingness to collaborate to moderate assessment decisions (as required)
· A range of your own writing or oral language samples for assessment
· LEAP Levels documents
· Recording evidence proformas
· Stationery that you like to use
