(Modules 12 & 13) 

Teachers wishing to focus on assessment may register for Day 1 only OR Days 1 and 2

In this workshop you will:

• consider ways of eliciting evidence in assessing students' language learning 
• consider the range of task types of assessment
• explore principles for evaluating the effectiveness of assessment tasks
• consider expanding evidence of language learning
• critically examine examples of tools used to support the process of making judgments
• problematise the process of judging
• consider issues of fairness

• writing materials
• Teaching and Learning Languages: A Guide by Angela Scarino and Anthony J Liddicoat (each school in Australia received a copy of this book in 2010)

Catering: Morning tea and lunch will be provided
