Personalisation in the SACE  

Workshop Description:

In November last year, the CESA SACE Conference highlighted the following themes:

•     Engaging with the Flexibilities of the SACE and the Thrive Strategy
•     Deepening our understanding of how a truly flexible SACE can benefit students

Continuing our work in this space in 2022, SACE Teaching and Learning Coordinators are invited to attend a virtual get-together with other SACE Leaders to hear some short presentations and engage in discussions on ways that some of our schools are continuing to explore the personalising of the SACE.

Core FOCI and Priorities: Personalising the SACE

AITSL National Professional Standards for Teachers at Lead Teacher Level:

Standard 1 - 1.5 Leading colleagues to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and teaching programs differentiated for the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities.

Standard 3 – 3.1 Demonstrating exemplary practice and high expectations and leading colleagues to encourage students to pursue challenging goals in all aspects of their education.

Standard 3 – 3.2 Exhibiting exemplary practice and leading colleagues to plan, implement and review the effectiveness of their learning and teaching programs to develop students’ knowledge, understanding and skills.

Standard 7 – 7.4 Taking a leadership role in professional and community networks and supporting the involvement of colleagues in external learning opportunities.
