Description:
Catholic Education South Australia invites schools to register their expression of interest to pilot the new CESA Limitless Possibilities Social Entrepreneurial Education Model within their school. We aim to pilot this model in one primary and one secondary school in each region.
CESA’s Education Advisors have collaborated with critical friends, A School for Tomorrow, to create a model of social entrepreneurial learning. This model has been informed by research at the global level by the OECD (Lackeus, 2015) and the local context of the Mitchell Institute (Anderson et al., 2017). Underpinned by Catholic Social Teaching and framed through the CESA Key Capabilities, the CESA Limitless Possibilities model equips students to notice, reflect on and respond to issues of injustice harnessing their empathy, creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills, thus preparing them to face the challenges of modern society and an uncertain future.
The Limitless Possibilities model and associated resources have been constructed to support teachers and students in Years 1 to 12 to design and facilitate social entrepreneurial learning in ways which are developmentally appropriate and aligned to the learning areas of the Australian Curriculum.
This initiative is aligned to the SACCS Learning and Teaching Commitment: Pursuing excellence in learning and teaching and student outcomes across all Catholic schools in South Australia. Specifically, this initiative has been designed to support Catholic Schools to meet the following objectives:
