Induction Module: Early Career Teachers Network (for teachers in their first years of teaching) - Regional-Rural Region

This further series of online network meetings will support early career teachers through their first year of teaching.  Topics covered include:

•  Student behaviour and classroom management 
•  Keeping a portfolio of practice 
•  Work-shopping, unpacking and linking to Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

·       Professional Knowledge 

•  Know students and how they learn
•  Know the content and how to teach it

·        Professional Engagement 

•  Engage in professional learning
•  Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the community

•       Professional Practice 

•  Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning 
•  Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments 
•  Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning 
•  Professional Associations what they can offer
